Well, it's been awhile since I've posted about the annoying, never-ending rumors regarding the American Idol judging panel. While everyone pretty much knew it was going to come down to Randy Jackson, J Lo and Steven Tyler, some of us (AKA Me) still held out hope. As a long-time (and completely obsessive) Idol fan, this pisses me off. Yes, Kara was annoying and is responsible for the terrible "song" No Boundaries, but she brought perspective to the panel that they no longer will have.
J Lo was a mentor on the show back in season 6, and yes she did a fine job there, but she made no critiques! She is not a replacement for Kara, she will be more like Ellen and that is NOT what they need! That is why Ellen left! And Steven Tyler as Simon's replacement? Ugh. Here's one reason why that is a bad idea:
And that was the second time. My ideal panel? Randy, Kara and Harry Connick Jr. (Shania Twain would have been my pick for a 4th judge if they stuck to that.) Will I still watch? Yes. Will I complain about how terrible the judging is? Yes.
